Overview

HQ's overview is a single locations that collects and displays a summary of all of your current work activity.

Your overview shows latest emails (from all your email accounts), ToDos, upcoming calendar items, Jobs on your joblist and a list of your team's status.

Search

At the top of the overview page (and on most pages in HQ) is the search box:

To find any item in HQ, including all those on the overview page, simply type-in a word and click search.

HQ’s search facility is extremely efficient, easy and quick to use. At its core is a powerful database which stores all your key corporate information, safely and securely.

The database has an integral indexing system, which enables it to retrieve a categorised list of emails, contacts, notes, documents, calendar events and to do actions in seconds.

And because HQ is designed for sharing, all this information and data can be accessed by the whole team from wherever they choose to log on. No more searching filing cabinets or waiting for colleagues to return to find a document or email on their pc. Everything is to hand.

Items found using HQ’s Search can be used immediately so work can be progressed without delay.

HQ's search engine looks at every word written in any part of HQ and returns a list of 'hits' categorised by type; businesses, people, email, documents, notes, jobs, todos, personal log and file notes. Simply click on any tab on the search results page to find a categorised list of search results.

HQ's Search features are:

  • HQ returns all its search results broken down by category (Contacts, Emails, Documents and so on).
  • The top line of the search results window shows a count of the number of items returned in each of the categories.
  • Any textual content in HQ can be found. For example, the search above is looking for '020' which is part of the telephone number of the contact displayed.
  • Where appropriate, search result will be highlighted (the 020 will be in bold text).
  • Make events private and only visible to me. Other team members will see the time of the private event blocked in the diary but not the description of the event.
  • Any items found can be used immediately. On the contact card example above, the communication buttons for letter writing, email and SMS can be used directly from the search screen.
  • Anything written in HQ in any of the modules will be found by an HQ search.
  • If a search finds an item marked as private (a calendar event for example) then this will only be displayed if the currently logged-in user is the owner of the item.
  • Finally, and importantly, HQ searches are extremely easy to do.
